Summer Camps
The kids love the summer camps and this year we have a COVERED arena to work under!! In the summer camps the kids get to spend 5 hours per day playing with horses. Camps go from 9am to 2pm. The last day is a show for the parents where the kids show off what they have learned at camp during the week. The camps are structured to accomodate complete beginners to advanced riders. They ride for at least 2 hours every day, sometimes up to 4 hours on horseback. Kids also learn how to saddle, groom, lead, tie, and take care of a horse. They learn parts and colors of horses, how to take care of them, how to clean stalls, about different kinds of feed, and lots of useful information. We do some arts and crafts projects as well as well. Kids should bring lots of water, sunscreen, a bag lunch, and a snack. Boots are REQUIRED and helmets are worn by all campers. Helmets can be provided.
Looking for something for the kids to do this summer? Send them to horse camp. We will teach them all about horses, from the ground up. They will learn how to groom, saddle, and RIDE--Lots of Riding!!! They will also learn horse parts, horse nutrition, and much, much more! Most of all they will have FUN in a SAFE environment. Camps dates are May 24-27, 31-June 3, June 7-10, and 15-18, and July 12-15 and July 19-22nd. The July 19-22 will be a special barrel racing camp with Stacy Buchanan and riders of all ages will be allowed to enter to improve their barrel racing skills. Camps go from 9am-2pm, and are $195 per week. Horses are provided, or you can bring your own horse. Camps will be split into beginner and intermediate, and advanced.
