Let Me Help You Find The Horse of Your Dreams

Summer Camps

The kids love the summer camps and this year we have a COVERED arena to work under!! In the summer camps the kids get to spend 5 hours per day playing with horses.  Camps go from 9am to 2pm M-F.  Friday is a show for the parents where the kids show off what they have learned at camp during the week.  The camps are structured to accomodate complete beginners to advanced riders.  They ride for at least 2 hours every day, sometimes up to 4 hours on horseback.  Kids also learn how to saddle, groom, lead, tie, and take care of a horse.  They learn parts and colors of horses, how to take care of them, how to clean stalls, about different kinds of feed, and lots of useful information.  We do some arts and crafts projects as well as well.  Kids should bring lots of water, sunscreen, a bag lunch, and a snack.  Boots are REQUIRED and helmets are worn by all campers.  Helmets can be provided.  Cost of camp is $150 for 3 days, $200 for the barrel racing clinic.  Multiple kid discounts are available.  Camp dates offered:

July 7-9 Barrel Racing Camp with Stacy Buchanan $200 for 3 days

July 14-16 Beginner/Intermediate rider Camp $150 for 3 days

Flagstaff Summer Camps

These camps are so much fun and it is so nice to get away from the summer heat of the valley.  They are offered at Northern Arizona Riding Stables.  Susan Carter and her staff provide excellent hospitality and a breathtakingly beautiful ranch for us to hold our camp at.  We have lots of riding time and many fun activities that your child will remember forever.  The camps are day camps so overnight accomodations are the responsibility of the campers.  There is a beautiful bed and breakfast located very close by and camping available right down the street if you have an RV or want to bring a tent. I highly recommend these camps--they are very fun and you won't want to leave Flagstaff during this time of the summer.

Our camp program is geared towards the horse lover ages 7-13 who want learn all about horses. We will be assessing each rider and catering the riding portion of camp according to each rider’s ability. This will be a fun, challenging, yet safe experience for everyone! Camp will also include fun horse related arts, crafts and projects as well as the basics of barn life, and much more. The last day of each camp is “family” day for kids to showcase what they have learned throughout the week with an exhibition horse show for family and friends to attend! Camp tuition is $375 per camper with discounts offered for mulitple campers from the same family.Tution includes 5 days of camp (lunch included) with a minimum of 2 hours of "saddle time" each day. Camp starts at 10:00am and ends at 3:30 each day except the last day of camp, "Show Day" is a shortened day ending around noon.
